Ishan Kishan has climbed to the top of the ICC Men's T20I Batting Rankings for the first time in his career, following India's two-match T20I series against Ireland in early July 2026.
Kishan, on 876 rating points, overtook his own India and opening partner Abhishek Sharma, who had held the No. 1 spot for close to a year. In doing so, Kishan joined a select group of Indian batters β including Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma himself β to have topped the T20I batting charts.
The milestone caps a rapid rise in white-ball form for Kishan, whose aggressive strokeplay at the top of the order has made him one of the most consistent run-scorers in the format over the past year, and comes just days before India's T20I series against England began in earnest.
