Deepika Padukone has been named to the Hollywood Walk of Fame's Class of 2026, becoming the first Indian actor β man or woman β to be honoured with a star on the famed Hollywood Boulevard.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce confirmed her selection in the Motion Pictures category, placing her alongside a class that includes Emily Blunt, TimothΓ©e Chalamet, Marion Cotillard, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Demi Moore and Stanley Tucci, among others.
Padukone, one of Hindi cinema's most bankable and internationally recognised stars, has steadily built a Hollywood profile in recent years alongside a prolific Bollywood career, and has been a regular presence at major international festivals and award ceremonies.
A date for her star ceremony has not yet been announced. Under Walk of Fame rules, honorees are given up to two years from their selection date to schedule the ceremony, after which the honour expires if left unclaimed.
